Mr. Moerer has taught Social Studies for a LONG time, currently at Northwest. A graduate of Doane College (BA) and UNL (MA in economics), Mr. Moerer teaches Advanced Placement US History, Psychology and College Micro/ Macro Economics (a dual-credit offering with NW and CCC), is a Nebraska Economics Fellow and has been honored with a Distinguished Teaching Awards from the University of Chicago and UNL.
When not teaching, he is coaching- football, girls basketball, and strength/conditioning training most commonly. Coach Moerer is a long-time member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and led the Lady Vikings to the 2019 Class B State Girls Basketball Championship. He has been honored with the Central Conference, GI Independent and Huskerland Prep Coach of the Year awards.
